From our headquarters in Via di Mezzo 2 it takes about 20 km by scenic road (25 minutes by car): you leave the village to the south-east, take the SP 60 \u201cCastiglionese\u201d road, then the SP 152, and in a few bends through chestnut trees and glimpses of the sea you reach the car park at the entrance to the village.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perched on the ridge overlooking the coast, <strong>Tirli <\/strong>offers sweeping views of Diaccia Botrona, the Colline Metallifere and, on clear days, as far as the island of Elba. The village grew up around the <strong>Church of Sant&#8217;Andrea<\/strong> (1669): the interior houses a 17th-century organ, the protagonist of summer concerts and autumn festivals.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Not to be missed<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Hermitage of Sant&#8217;Anna<\/strong><br\/>An easy path leads to this oratory surrounded by a centuries-old chestnut grove. Next to it is a spring dedicated to the saint: tradition has it that her water brings good luck to couples seeking a child.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Belvedere \u201cIl Fontanino\u201d<\/strong><br\/>An obligatory stop before returning: the view sweeps from Argentario to Punta Ala.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Typical flavours<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tirli is the Maremma <strong>game <\/strong>capital. In family-run restaurants taste:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pappardelle with wild boar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stewed boar with black olives<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Porcini mushrooms trifolati on polenta crostoni<br\/>Pair with a Monteregio di Massa Marittima DOC or a Rosso di Sovana.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trekking &amp; MTB among chestnut trees and panoramas<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The area is criss-crossed by <strong>MTB and hiking <\/strong>trails that connect Tirli to the Rocca di Scarlino and Poggio Ballone. In autumn, the forests are tinged with orange: with a day permit, you can collect chestnuts and porcini mushrooms.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tips<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Events<\/strong>: wild boar festival in mid-October; Christmas market with undergrowth products.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Climate<\/strong>: in July-August, due to the altitude, the temperature is 4-5 \u00b0C cooler than on the coast.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Access<\/strong>: paved panoramic road (20 km, 25 minutes from San Simone). Free parking at the entrance of the
