Our roots in the village of Castiglione della Pescaia
San Simone was born among the stone alleys that embrace the medieval castle of Castiglione della Pescaia. The lodgings that now welcome our guests were ancient houses where families of fishermen and farmers would gather at the end of days marked by the rhythm of the sea and the Mediterranean scrub. A respectful restoration has preserved stone walls, brick arches and chestnut beams, while integrating modern comforts and views of the Tyrrhenian Sea: every window overlooks terracotta roofs, sail and horizon. Our roots in the village of Castiglione della Pescaia.
Our philosophy
We believe in slow tourism and in a hospitality that puts the territory at the centre. Those who choose San Simone are not just looking for a bed, but for the experience of living in an authentic Tuscan village: shopping at the greengrocer’s on the doorstep, strolling through craft shops, returning in the evening with the scent of salt still on the skin. We want our guests to feel “local” for a few days, free to explore coves, pine forests and hills, knowing they can count on the advice of those who were born and raised here.
